one man's dream... a small animal's worst nightmare: poorly written commentary about sports and life

I’m Supposed To Be On My Best Behavior And Not Say “Poop”. Oh God. What Have I Done?

bermuda1.jpgWhen I set up the blogger baseball league, I thought it might be a fun idea to get a bunch of bloggers into the same forum.  I’ll be the first to admit that although I blog and make it a daily habit to read multiple blogs of my liking, I don’t exactly comment on other sites or make any kind of footprint outside of Seal Clubbers.  It looks now like that might have been for the best.  Not only am I right now being subjected to a beating of the likes only the 2007 Michigan Wolverines can truly understand, but something else is going on… something mysterious.

A while back, I noticed that one of the blogs in the league just came to a standstill… and yet another disappeared off the map.  Finally, with the news that Marco is taking his talents elsewhere and shutting down Just Call Me Juice (we really could have used you today man).  In all, 1 out of every 4 blogs initially represented in the 12 team contest no longer exist, and I can’t help but think that the mediocrity… nay inadequacy of my site may have had something to do with this.  My league is turning into the Bermuda Triangle of sports blogs, so I suppose it’s a good thing that it’s coming to a close; just two more weeks of fantasy competition and we will have a winner… who will not be me, that’s for damn sure.

Am I considered one of the sites that ceased to exist? SSOM is still conscious I’m just not sure I’ll keep it alive. Debating which direction I want to go. But, I’m writing at Epic Carnival regardless.

I really thought it would be us in the finals though Eric. Still can’t believe you lost.

Actually I wasn’t counting you because of Epic Carnival… but that’s scary. That means it was 5 of 12. That and Jay Busbee moved on from Sports Gone South to a new blog… 6 of 12.

Well, while you are debating your direction if you ever feel the need to blog (in addition to Epic C), let me know ’cause a good contribution now and then really freshens things up.
