This is potentially the biggest hit to those concerned that steroids are ruining our sports and that guys can cheat their way to glory: Tim Couch was ‘roiding it up.
Yep, Tim Couch, former number one draft pick Tim Couch. The same Tim Couch who was cut from the Jacksonville Jaguars on August 18th; recent information suggests that Couch used steroids and even an admission that the QB clipboard holder Tim took HGH after his shoulder surgery.
Isn’t it a bit funny that really, Barry Bonds is the only player at a Hall of Fame level who has been directly linked to steroids by his own admission by non-public court testimony. Really, considering that way more minor league players and guys on the edge of the 25-man roster - not to mention an NFL punter - are the vast majority of guys on steroids, can we call of the dogs? Are they really that big of a concern if 75% of the guys getting caught are lame ducks anyway? Doesn’t seem to have made a big difference for those guys…
Funny that it took Tim “interception machine” Couch to make me think about steroids in this light; damn it’s gotta suck to be that guy right now: can’t even make the Jags while he’s on the juice.

I’ve been arguing this for years (a couple, anyway) with anyone who would listen. It would be incredibly stupid for someone who is already one of the best to do something illegal, unless of course they had been doing it all along. But what do I know. Professional athletes do stupid stuff all the time.
