The best team in the Bay Area is of course the Oakland Athletics. Thanks to a 2-0 win today, the A’s completed a three game sweep of the San Francisco Giants; the 3 wins make the season series 5-1 in favor of the A’s. Some highlights of the most recent series:

Run differential for the A’s-Giants series: 13-3

The A’s completed the sweep throwing out starters Chad Gaudin, Joe Kennedy and Lenny DiNardo. The Giants had arguably their three best: Tim Lincecum, Matt Cain and Barry Zito

Barry Bonds did NOT hit a home run against the A’s

The A’s did this with their best two relievers on the DL

That makes the A’s 8-2 in their last 10 games; the G-Men are 3-7 in theirs
