Get to know your local hooker.

Okay, so he’s not a hooker and it’s an overused rugby joke, but this rugby 101 for god’s sake, so cut me some slack. But I would like to take the time to introduce Mike MacDonald, who is a prop for the USA Eagles as well as for the Leeds Tykes, with whom he just signed a new two year contract after helping them get their promotion back to the Guinness Premiership. Since he is American, he will most likely never be able to put the World Cup on his list of awards and honors, but he has plenty of collegiate titles and All-American nods from his college days at Cal that help to make someone like me believe that he is currently our best rugby player.

So congrats to Mike on the new contract, and if you continue your learning experience elsewhere, at the very least you might be able to make sense of the fact that Mike weighs in at 19 stone.
