The Elephant Walk

stomper23.jpg[The Elephant Walk is my weekly wrap-up of Oakland Athletics baseball. Results, performances, transactions or other thoughts I might have about the A’s]

I’ve Seen Better Days

Okay, so not really the best week… lost two of three to both Chicago and Baltimore. The A’s are now playing under .500 ball and I’m just guessing but I think that having they key members of their rotation and bullpen on the DL isn’t helping matters any. Some might even argue that its part of the problem. Crazy stuff.

Really, there isn’t a whole lot to say this week. The A’s are pretty much exhausing their farm system looking for help; this week’s callup is 2b Donnie Murphy, formerly of the Kansas City Royals.

So before I start the trade projection talk and looking for good trade partners, I’ll take ‘er easy this week, save the commentary for another time, and hope that by giving it a week’s time, not only that I will have more to speak of. It would also help if I wasn’t trying to watch the Cup Finals at the same time I’m “analyzing” the A’s.

Sorry, Ottawa power play… gotta go.

I promise, it will get better soon (the website)… its been crazy for me the past three weeks but I think (or at least pray) its going to get better soon.
