Did Women’s Golf Really Just Become The Toughest League On Drugs?

May 25th, 2007 · No Comments

natalie_gulbis.jpgSeriously? How did this happen?

How is it that in a sport where finesse is king that they are the first ones to finally get it right? Is it because they might be less likely to be using drugs and have less to risk? I don’t know, but this is bad, bad news for the big three sports (football, baseball and basketball) when they get outdone by anyone on the links… it really means nothing that this is the LPGA and not the PGA. Nothing.

But if you ask me, they really did get it right. Its right in line with the new Rodger Goddell NFL policy; that its a privilege to play, not a right. Not only that, but when we as the fans essentially pay the million dollar salaries, why can’t we expect a little gratitude, a little humility, and a little more self restraint?

Good work LPGA; at the very least it was enough to warrant the first, and most likely final mention of the LPGA on my site.
