Wow, what a terrific downfall I took this week, going from 5th to 9th… that was fantastic. FanIQ is, of course, sitting atop the league. Just Call Me Juice gave it a great run down to the wire, but fell one point short of defeating the league’s giant. We also had a team name change this week… I’m not quite sure that it’s correct usage of the word “pile” to refer to a team, but other than that it was a welcome change to the league. No trades again this week, which I will probably have to fix with both of my shortstops forgetting that they are actually supposed to hit the ball with the bat; really one of the fundamental theories of baseball.

I know what my problem is though… I need it to be 2008. With all the gambles I took on pitching, I wound up just squatting on a bunch of guys like Homer Bailey. At least Phil Hughes is in the Show right now, and as a side note, let me say that despite the ERA he showed some nasty stuff out on the mound and there’s no doubt in my mind that in a year or two he could be the ace of the Yankees.

It’s my turn to face off with our league giant… that should be fun. Other than that we have 2 vs 4, 3 vs 5, and of course 10 vs 12.
