STSS League Primer: Week Three

This Week in STSS

FanIQ is still a monster up there at the top of the standings, and I’m starting to wonder if I shouldn’t have set up testing for performance enhancing drugs. According to Yahoo!’s “key’s to success” (the players most often on the top teams in public leagues), of the five listed (ARod, Tim Hudson, Russel Martin, Chris Ray, and Ian Kinsler) Fan IQ owns three of the five (A-Rod, Hudson and Ray). He must be stopped.

Personally, I had to cut and run from some of my pitchers so I’m going to have to be ‘that guy’ and sit on Andrew Miller, Homer Bailey, Matt Garza, and Tim Lincecum and hope that two of the four end up helping me make a playoff push down the road. I’m also curious how the whole Brenden Harris thing works out in Tampa, because at his current pace he could become the starting shortstop before the end of May.

The Week To Come

This week the unenviable task of trying to be the first to beat FanIQ is Just Call Me Juice . Good luck with all of that.

There are going to be a few more interesting matchups this week to mix things up: mainly 2 vs 3 and 5 vs 6, but that should be enough to allow two teams 7-12 into the top 6.

God Damn I really need to start doing my roster in this league. Although it should be mentioned that my DL is outstanding!

Don’t call it a comeback! Stupid FanIQ slaughtered me the previous week, but I’m almost back to .500 now.
