Is this why they call Philly the city of brotherly love?
Brian Westbrook received an extra $3 million from the Philadelphia Eagles in an accounting error.
The star running back intends to pay the team back after getting his roster bonus twice. However, the Eagles filed a grievance with the NFL against Westbrook because the money hasn’t been repaid yet, a team spokesman said Saturday.
Accounting error? $3 million dollars? …
First off… hahahaha, that’s good. Okay, now on to the really good part: that $3mil put the Eagles over the cap last season. Yea, they want the money back - Westbrook says he’s gonna cut them a check - and the NFL hasn’t done anything yet, but I emphasize yet because there is no love between teams in the NFC East and you know Jerry Jones has probably been sending all kinds of gifts, flowers, naked pictures of himself, and letters the way of the commissioner to see if he can’t put his rivals’ cash and prizes in a vice grip.
