STSS: Week One

April 9th, 2007 · 3 Comments

show-and-tell.jpgOne week down in the social experiment that is Show and Tell with Sean Salisbury, and I’m definitely afraid. Yes, I won my first week matchup, but my first baseman Adam LaRoche went 3 for 24 during that week, and that is not good.

This Week In Show and Tell with Sean Salisbury…

One more trade this week, Just Call Me Juice swapped with Donkey Carnival. Juice got ATL SS Edgar Renteria in exchange for PHI closer Tom Gordon. Right now Renteria is on a tear, and could be a huge bargin. On the other hand, it could be a sell high deal.. who knows. I certainly am doubting myself after dropping Zack Greinke for Brandon McCarthy thinking that McCarthy would be a safer pick. Friggin’ Handpeeing picked up Greinke before I could change my mind… indecision is a killer.

Well, its been a good week, and here are the standings after week one:

The snowout in Cleveland screwed my team this week

Yea I would just like to justify my terrible start by saying that I missed the draft and although my team isn’t terrible, it’s bad and I don’t really like it.

That might be so, but you also have the biggest bargaining chip, and I’m sure if you swung Pujols out onto the market you would get bidders left and right.
