And these three people make her look like a model citizen and parent.
Soccer Dad: I had previously believed the crazy overbearing parent attacking refs and coaches at youth sporting events
was something that made America special. But not so. We now have this as a common trait with Germany, which is a much better link than David Hasselhoff, no matter how cool the Night Rider car may have been. Well, this one German fan was so upset by a foul that was committed at the youth soccer match that he ran onto the field and karate kicked the kid who committed the foul…. the 8-year old kid, was kicked by the 42-year old man.
Other spectators, mostly parents of the children playing in the indoor match, piled in behind the angry spectator to restrain him and prevent any serious injuries to the boy.
The boy suffered bruising and grazes but was otherwise unharmed, police said. It was unclear if the man would be charged over the incident, the spokesman said.
I really hope beer was involved in this, for his sake.
Baseball Fans And The Executives Who Hate Them: The latest farce of a compromise has, if nothing else, emphasized just how greedy and
selfish Bud Selig is in the way he runs Major League Baseball at the complete disregard of the fans, players, and in many cases the overall heath of the sport. Any concession made by Selig and crew tends to be only for show:
Besides being hell bent on infuriating its best fans and having less people watch its games, Major League Baseball would also prefer if you stop calling to complain. If the FCC and Sen. John Kerry would stop threatening to investigate them, that would be good too.
Other than that, it’s full speed ahead for MLB, which appears to have offered a virtually impossible to complete proposal (and a tight deadline to do it) to the consortium of cable and satellite providers that distribute the Extra Innings package to die-hard and displaced baseball fans.
I thank everyday for MLB.tv (despite the fact that I’m blacked out from like 6 teams/ somehow live in the market of 6 different teams), but I really think that when Selig finally steps down or gets beaten mercilessly, it might be wise to not have an owner as the next commissioner… slight conflict of interest.

He Plays When He Wants To Play: But not necessarily where he wants to play anymore. Right now, one big question in this season’s NFL offseason is where
he is going to end up… I’m not even sure if anyone will notice it when he gets there since the once perennial Pro Bowler can’t even get his shit together long enough to put together even a few decent games. Thanks to his attitude and decreased productivity, the once coveted player isn’t even welcome in Green Bay, where character still matters, whatever character is… I forgot.
“I’ve had fans call me and say, ‘Bob, I’d rather see you go 0-16 than do some things that were done here in the ’80s.”
So, the fans would rather have a Raider-like season, than the former Raider receiver. Say what you will about T.O.’s attitude and self-obsession, teams still actually want him, and no one wants the “Freak” anymore.
