I love this for two reasons. First, because USC ice hockey goalie Mickey Meyer did what almost any current or former hockey player probably felt like doing at some point, deliberately pissing off the refs. I also love it because where else than at BYU would something like this be a serious incident.
In the third period of the game between USC and BYU, the USC goalie was sick of the refs so he, well, I’ll just quote this one for accuracy sake:
Mickey Meyer rode his stick like a horse, dropped his bulky pants, mooned the crowd and slapped his buttocks during a game against Brigham Young University, police said.
He was ejected and ticketed for lewdness, a misdemeanor, after an officer who was working security at the rink said he witnessed the scene Saturday.
Prosecutor Scott Wyatt laughed when told about the incident Tuesday at the state Capitol, where he is a member of the Utah House. He declined to say whether he would press charges. The maximum penalty is six months in jail.
Man, six months in jail for dropping trow and mooning the crowd. Man, I bet if he were a USC song girl in the Rose Bowl nothing would have happened. This is injustice. Someone call the ACLU.

[…] Unfortunately it had to come at the expense of Chris Drury, and in no way do I want to make fun of what happened to him, but after seeing the images of the Buffalo-Ottawa game last night, I was wondering if USC goalie Mickey Meyer was going to come out and strip on the ice to complete the Slapshot parody.
