Most of the time those parts are called ‘parents’. I don’t know exactly what happened, but “do your best”, and “I’m proud of you for trying” have been replaced with “kill him Jimmy!” and “I didn’t raise you to be a loser”. But even worse than that, parents seem to be finding it difficult to remain spectators.
At youth football games this year, parents have brawled, pulled guns on coaches and threatened refs. From this video I found on the M Zone, it looks like many more sports will get to experience the joy that is Dads living vicariously through their children.
What I think is even more puzzling is why this always seems to happen with 10 and 11 year olds, and never high school when it really matters. Also, between herpes outbreaks and psycho Dads, I’m starting to think that its only a matter of time before real wrestling starts to look like WWE.
