Its a little weird making a big deal out of Duke beating BC, I think I was 15 when Duke last had a season this bad. And lets face it… its really not that bad. If you told the Hurricanes that they would be 19-7 with a few weeks left in the ACC, I bet they would wet their pants. Its like the Yankees, its great to win all the time, but when you don’t its viewed at a complete and total collape. But with freshman trying to get on the court as soon as possible in order to get exposure for the NBA, I’m really not all that sure that this isn’t going to be unusual for Duke over the next ten years, which will make a lot of college hoops in Durham very sad pandas.

On the flip side of that, I think we can expect more teams like this years WSU Cougs, who of course beat the Huskies for the 4th time in a row last night. I think that its good that college basketball is leveling out, because it was getting really old seeing the same teams win all the time.

And USA Today/ESPN…I’ve got my eye on you… Another Pac-10 win, on the road for WSU, should be more than sufficient to leap Nevada in the standings (who beat San Jose State last night and play Northern Iowa on the weekend). Here’s a hint voters, if most of Nevada’s games aren’t worth televising then its probaby not wise to have them in your top 10. I expect this to be remedied.
