Their only “quality” win was beating Cal in Berkeley…on the first week of December…that was last year! Maybe the pollsters didn’t notice that. Maybe they didn’t realize that the Cougs have beaten 4 ranked opponents compared to UNR’s 0. Or maybe, just maybe, they failed to remember when WSU lost by only 3 to then undefeated and number 1 UCLA on the Bruins’ home court, and that 2 of their 4 losses were to opponents who were then ranked in the top 10.
