I just spent way too much time debating the merits of a lame Brewster’s Millions pun or a lame Punky Brewster pun. But the title came to me naturally when I read that the Minnesota Golden Gophers will pay Tim Brewster, formerly known as the tight ends coach of the Denver Broncos, a cool million per season to be their new tight ends coach… offensive coordinator… .head coach? That can’t be right.

Okay, so it is right… I still don’t understand how a guy who’s only head coaching and/or coordinating experience is as a head coach of a high school program for two years in the eighties is qualified to be a head coach in the Big 10. If that’s how its gonna be then it won’t be long until my middle school and high school coaching experience will land me a head coaching job at Iowa or Illinois.
