A week chalked full of upsets is a legend. Something that is remembered for years and passed down as urban legend, but they are as real as unicorns, right?

So far this week, Rutgers pulled out a victory over the 3rd ranked Cardinals, thanks in part to Jeremy Ito’s game winning field goal on his mulligan attempt. Rutgers still would have probably won the game in overtime but William Gay’s over-eagerness putting him offsides on the play helped wrap the game up during regulation.

And things are getting a whole lot dicier. Cal Bears: done. Texas Longhorns: done. Auburn Tigers: done.

What does that mean? Means that the number 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 8th ranked teams all ducked out of the National Title race. That means that realistically, the only teams remaining in the hunt to play the Ohio State/ Michigan winner in the BCS title game are the winner of the USC/ Notre Dame game, the loser of the Ohio State/ Michigan game, and Florida (who started off the day as the 6th ranked team) are a longshot considering their strength of schedule now that their only loss just became worse (with Auburn losing).

Given the latest happenings, here is how I would anticipate tomorrow’s top 10 BCS standings will look like:

1. Ohio State
2. Michigan
3. Florida
4. USC
5. Notre Dame
6. Rutgers
7. Arkansas
8. Louisville
9. West Virginia
10. LSU

I would be willing to bet good money that this list is going to be wrong for more than one team, but then again, sometimes the seal gets away… you can’t club them all.
