Sweet merciful crap. They actually did it. Only one year removed from a 56-5 defeat at the hands of the same team, Rutgers took it to Louisville to become the only remaining undefeated team in the Big East, and did their part to fan the flame that is the argument for a playoff system in college football.
I have to admit, I thought the game would be respectful and much closer, but had no faith whatsoever that Rutgers could pull it out on their own merit. Can’t say I’ve been this happy to be so wrong since earlier this year when Michigan beat Notre Dame.
