With the Sharks’ win over the Penguins last night they now have 20 points and are 3rd place in the Pacific Division behind Anaheim and Dallas. 3rd in your division tends not to sound all that great until you look around the rest of the NHL. As a matter of fact, 20 points would put the Sharks:
- Tied for first with Minnesota in the NW Division of the Western Conference
- First place of the Central Division of the Western Conference
- Second place of the SE Division of the Eastern Conference
- Second place of the NE Division of the Eastern Conference
- First place of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference
There is still a lot of hockey to be played but right now the Pacific looks to be the toughest division in the NHL.
