It also ranks Michigan #1 and tOSU #2. That will always score points in my book.
But have you really looked at the BCS ratings this year… I mean really looked, because if you are still one of the 59 or so people out there who don’t think the BCS system is about as legit as Shaquille O’Neil’s rapping and/ or acting career you might want to look a little closer.
So besides the fact that the computer rankings, which comprise one third of the BCS totals, has Michigan (with 0 first place votes in 3 polls) as the top team over tOSU (139 first place votes in 3 polls) here are some other gems that make me wonder who signed off on this masterpiece:
West Virginia, ranked #3 in the BCS and three polls is ranked 13th by the computer.
The computer’s #3? Cal.
Rutgers: the 8th best team in all the land. Actually out of the three unbeaten teams in the Big East Rutgers is the highest rated (WVU 13, Louisville 9).
Honestly, year after year the BCS makes about as much sense as a Shaq-Joe Pesci buddy picture: Twins 2.
