I think that should be the name of my new blog, but it may already be taken. Not sure but the one thing I am sure about is that it’s on. Saturday November 18th is now firmly cemented into my calendar. Assuming no upsets, which considering the upcoming schedules is the most likely scenario, the U of M Wolverines will face TOSU in what is sure to become one of the most over-hyped football games in the history of football itself. The number one TOSU Buckeyes and number two Wolverines facing off in a grudge match where the victor takes all will be, to say the least, exciting.
I don’t think that this annual rivalry game has ever pitted the top two teams in the country against each other, and the last time the two teams were both ranked 1 and 2 was in September of 1976. Another stat you will have memorized after upcoming broadcasts and pre-game hype is the fact that the last time each of these teams went 7-0 they won a National Championship (Michigan in 1997 and TOSU in 2002). The final stat to be aware of is that the last time TOSU went 7-0 they produced a gun and hatchet wielding maniac, so be cautious Columbus… and lock your doors.
