If you ask me, good move by the Sharks this weekend picking up a first round pick and Vladimir Malakhov (probably a number 5 or 6 defender at this point) for Alex Koloryuk and Jim Fahey, neither looked to make an impact on the ice this season.
So basically the Sharks got something for nothing, and even though Malakhov is washed up at this point veteran leadership, even if from the bench, is exactly what the Sharks could use. And the way the Sharks have been drafting recently a first round pick equals a quality player in two to three years.
Now all they have to do is figure out some way to unload Nabokov and they are all set.
