Okay, not much of a movie forum here but I saw Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby over the weekend and it is extremely funny. If you like NASCAR, and good taste, stay away from this film. If you think NASCAR is a bunch of rednecks watching cars go in circles, it might be your film.

Will Ferrell stars in this NASCAR satire about an empty-headed stock-car racer whose winning streak is interrupted by a gay driver from France. Behind the laughs is a caustic blue-state-takes-on-red-state culture clash, with the latter presented as crude, harsh and tasteless. If the jokes were less funny, this would be more obvious, but the barbed edges are there and obvious to anyone paying attention. - San Francisco Chronicle

I still don’t know how they got NASCAR’s blessing to make this movie…
