At least Ben Roethlisberger is not going to make himself a hypocrite. When asked if he would be interested in doing ads encouraging motorcycle riders to wear helmets, he did the right thing by saying, “I don’t think that’s my place.”
Good call from Big Ben. Even though his reasons might not be in the right place at least he realizes that it is dumb to think that if someone won’t wear a helmet, that they will if Ben says so. Pete Coors needs to take a lesson from Ben. Its just coming out now that a few months ago the head of Coors Brewing got a DUI coming home from a wedding.
I made a mistake. I should have planned ahead for a ride. For years, I’ve advocated the responsible use of our company’s products. That’s still my message, and our company’s message, and it’s the right message. I am sorry that I didn’t follow it myself.
Good job Pete, probably works with the new Coors ad campaigns though. Guys night out, right? Pete is a crazy man anyway. He ran for Seanate in Colorado (and almost won) despite the fact his main political ideals include no income tax whatsoever and the drinking age being lowered to 18. Although I guess the real whackos are the ones who actually voted for him.
